Description

The Performance Coach will be delivering a CPD Day to give an introduction of the transition required in moving from one to one coaching to the complex dynamics of a team environment

Whilst many organisations focus energy on engaging with executive/ 1:1 coaches and developing their own internal capacity for individuals to coach individuals, coaching for teams has so far, perhaps been under-utilised, particularly within the NHS.

Many of the core skills used within a 1:1 coaching relationship are also important when coaching a team or a group of individuals and there is also more to think about; the dynamics of the team, the maturity or 'life cycle' of the team, the relationships and vision within the team, to name a few areas to consider.

This CPD event on Team Coaching will enable previously trained coaches to reflect on and further develop the skills required to effectively coach teams and groups. The workshop will be highly experiential and practical and you will leave with a greater understanding of your strengths and developing skills in this new area of coaching and how to apply them with success in your own context.

We will explore the different competencies and areas of focus required to coach teams versus individuals. Using ‘hands on’ practical demonstrations to enable experiential learning we will discuss the concepts of;

• What makes high performing teams?

• When a team coaching intervention is the ‘right’ solution

• Facilitating the process for a team coaching intervention

• Critical success factors to ensure a successful team coaching intervention

As always, the TPC team will make space for you to reflect on your style and skills as a coach, to share best practice with others and to further develop your approach.

This one-day workshop will be delivered by Kate Hesk and Damion Wonfor, both Directors of The Performance Coach. Kate and Damion are both Master Coaches (qualified to MSc), have supported and developed many coaches and leaders within the NHS over the last 10 years, and both operate as successful team coaches within the NHS and the private sector.
